Out to lunch

Yesterday we met up with my manager, Beth, who was up here for work from DC, and my co-worker/friend Alison for lunch at Flatbread. Elliot slept through the whole thing, of course.

Today we're going to get massages from Neilie. I really need it. I had no idea lifting a sub-8-lb human could be so taxing.

Betty hung out with us this morning.



Then we went outside to take Elliot to meet some of our neighbors and see his first snow.

Goings on

We've been out and about, with our daily peds appointments (no longer necessary -- bilirubin is finally down!) and other errands. We're planning a very quiet weekend at home though, which is much needed.

Finally home

Elliot had to stay an extra day in the hospital due to a slightly elevated bilirubin level. I was discharged on Monday, but he stayed on until Tuesday. Fortunately the recovery rooms were only 2/3 full and we were able to "squat" in our room until Elliot was discharged the following day. Here he is under the lights getting his treatment.



Finally, we got to go home late yesterday afternoon. Here's Elliot just after discharge.



Today we're enjoying a visit from Ed's mom. She's holding Elliot in this photo featuring knits in action.



We ran some errands today after our first visit to the pediatrician. It went well, but Elliot was quite popular with strangers and I'm thinking that hanging out with him might be kind of tough for this introvert. :)
